The UK's most dangerous roads for motorcyclists (2025 data)

14,959 police-reported collisions involved motorcyclists in 2025 — 5,905 of them serious or fatal. We joined the DfT's collision and casualty records to map where they cluster, nationally and across 125 towns and cities.

What the data says

  • Fore Street, Edmonton is Britain’s worst spot for motorcyclists: 31 collisions across 20212025.
  • 39% of 2025’s rider collisions were serious or fatal — far above the all-road-user average.
  • • Per resident, Birkenhead is the riskiest area we track for motorcyclists: 83 collisions per 100,000 people in 2025.
  • • Casualties among motorcyclists have fallen over five years: 15,838 in 2021 to 15,447 in 2025.
